What is the range in the real world?
The feedback from drivers says that, depending on the type of operation, it will be 150 to 185 true miles per charge (the vehicle will self-charge more in City type operations).

Is it an 8-seater?
No. The vehicle is a standard 5 seat black cab (3 rear seats and 2 drop-downs).

Are Dynamo Taxis wheelchair friendly?
Yes, all Dynamo Taxis are equipped with a wheelchair lift and 4-point wheelchair straps. With a wheelchair user on board, the Dynamo Taxi can carry two additional passengers.

What’s the seating formation?
3 seat rear bench plus 2 drop-seats on bulkhead.

Is there a passenger seat in the front?
No. Very few hackneys have a front passenger seat. In this taxi the seating area is too small. The Black Cab design does not allow for a passenger seat and it would not comply with Black Cab technical requirements.

No. The Dynamo is Automatic transmission only.

What are the running costs like?
The average taxi driver in London covers a distance of 90 to 120 miles a day, spending roughly £25 in fuel a day. Using a home charger, it will cost Dynamo Taxi drivers £3-£6 in electricity to cover the same distance, saving drivers nearly £20 a day in running costs alone. Charging fees will vary between energy providers, with the average home electricity tariff at 14.8p per kWh. The Dynamo Taxi features a 40kWh lithium-ion battery.

Does the Dynamo Taxi warranty differ from Nissan’s warranty?
Yes, the Dynamo Taxi comes with Nissan’s eight year / 100,000 mile battery warranty, five years / 60,000 mile on EV dedicated components and three-year / 60,000 mile general warranty (years or miles, whichever is sooner). The Nissan e-NV200 lithium battery warranty also protects against capacity loss below nine bars of capacity (out of 12) for a period of eight years /100,000 miles. Parts modified by Dynamo are covered by Dynamo’s own three year / 60,000 warranty.

What kind of modifications has Dynamo made to the Nissan e-NV200?
Dynamo has added in excess of 1,000 different parts to the Nissan e-NV200 Evalia MPV. Key changes include: The exterior side aperture is modified to fit two electric steps, enlarged opening and a wheelchair ramp, while the steering mechanism is modified to achieve the 25-foot Transport for London (TfL) turning circle Condition of Fitness (CoF). The internal flooring is also removed and strengthened to support wheelchair accessibility. Dynamo adds new seating frames and materials and amends the internal layout as well as adding a panoramic glass roof and ambient lighting. Dynamo also creates a unique wiring loom to support items such as card readers and an intercom unit.
